Belmont, MA Dentist

Our priority as your dental care provider has always been to preserve and protect your health and safety. As usual, we continue to follow all guidelines set forth by the CDC, OSHA, and the ADA. We have always provided a sterile, safe, environment to protect your health, both oral and otherwise.

An outline of some of our precautionary measures:

Hand Hygiene

Proper hand hygiene is one of the most important measures our team takes to prevent the spread of infection. Alcohol-based (60-95% alcohol) hand rub is recommended in most clinical situations, unless hands are visibly soiled. In cases where hands are visibly soiled, washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds is recommended, and our protocol.

Pre-Screening Questions

We ask patients to complete a pre-screening form before arriving at our office to ensure they are free of COVID. We also will perform temperature checks when you arrive, and have patients perform hand hygiene when they arrive using provided, or their own, alcohol-based hand rub. Restrooms are available for handwashing with soap and water as well.

Waiting Room Etiquette

In order to maintain 6 feet separation between patient families, we may ask family members to accompany their child to the private operatories for the duration of your visit with us. Alternatively, for those patients who would like to have treatment independently, we may ask accompanying family members to wait in their cars or outside if weather permits, as long as they can be reached by mobile phone. We do ask to limit the number of accompanying family members to those necessary, if possible.

Personal Protective Equipment

We possess and use all necessary protective equipment, including face masks, gloves, protective eyewear, and protective clothing. Worn by our team and changed regularly, Personal Protective Equipment is designed to protect everyone, personnel and patients, in our practice from exposure to infectious agents.

Sterilization and Disinfection of Patient-Care Items and Devices

All Instruments and equipment used during your care are always sterilized and disinfected to CDC specifications. This ensures proper infection control and the health of our patients and staff. Every item used is opened fresh from a sterilized packet or is a brand-new disposable item. The sterilization process is very rigorous and includes heat sterilization (autoclave).

Air Purification

We use HEPA-grade air filters changed at regular intervals for the HVAC system, with the addition of an installed UV disinfection system actively bathing the filters with UV-C light energy, inactivating viruses and microbes by destroying their genetic material. During your appointment we use high evacuation suction to remove aerosols, further reducing the spread of bacteria and viruses.

Regular Sanitation

Common touchpoints, including seating, workspaces, door handles, railings, and restrooms are sanitized on a regular basis by our team with effective cleaning solutions certified to kill bacteria and viruses.

Our entire operatory is disinfected after every appointment with EPA registered cleaning agents to kill viruses and bacteria.

Thank you for your continued trust and confidence in our team. Together, we can overcome these circumstances and continue your path to greater health. We look forward to taking care of you at your next appointment and wish you and your family the very best.
